Portmore Music Fest is a fusion of Dancehall and Reggae music featuring stellar performances from some of the industry's biggest acts. The festival is set in the Sunshine City of Portmore, Jamaica.
History
This year will be the 4th staging of this fast growing event, with more than 7,500 patrons enjoying last year's show. The organisers donate a serious part of the proceeds to charity organisations, thus giving back to the community namely; Mother in Crisis Foundation (MIC) & Portmore Self Help Disability Organization (PSDO) This year’s staging includes a Dance Showcase, Sound System Selectors Showcase, Live Band Show, Cannabis Zone, Beauty Zone, Art & Craft Village and a Mouth Watering Food Court with the best in food from in and around Portmore. The Show was conceptualized by Mr. Steve Billings in 2016 when he realized the limited platforms for up and coming and established artistes in the Portmore/ St. Catherine area and decided to go all in self investing in a world Class event like no other in the sunshine city of Portmore. The signifies the importance of the Jamaican Culture and why it is important to keep doing it "Fi Di Culture".
The show has seen the likes of international stars such as : Sean Paul, Sean Kingston, Half Pint , Capleton, Queen Ifrica, Baby Cham, Spragga Ben, I Wayne, Bounty Killer , Beenie Man, Jr Reid, Wayne Wonder, Mr. Easy, Frisco Kid, Bunny Brown , Tinga Stewart, I Octane, I Wayne, Munga Honorable, Gyptian, Tarrus Riley, Ibamahr, Tommy Lee Sparta, Chuck Fender, Lutan Fyah, Warrior King, Turbulence, Maestro Don, Climaxx and a host of top acts have all graced the PMF Stage.
The Portmore Music Fest is endorsed by the community and contributes greatly to the Portmore economy.
