About this event
The Mico University College Child Assessment and Research in Education (CARE) Centre, was established to meet the needs of children requiring special education in Jamaica and the English-Speaking Caribbean. We are Jamaica’s leading public educational institution, which offers the highest quality diagnostic and therapeutic intervention services for children with exceptionalities. We also provide specialized support and education for parents, teachers and other caregivers. The Centre has a wide range of clientele, which includes children between the ages of four and eighteen years, who are performing below their age/grade level in school, despite the remedial programmes being offered there.
To this end, we host our 6th two-day Biennial Special Education Conference on October 13th and 14th,2016 at the Jamaica Conference Centre under the theme: “Empowering Teachers: Taking Action to Deliver Quality Education”. It promises to be a very informative and empowering conference.
