Location: Whitfield Hall Hostel

Trail Route: Whitfield Hall to Blue Mountain Peak Via Portland Gap

Fitness level: Moderate

Cost: JM$5000 US$45 (Without Transportation)
JM$4000.00 US$35 (4x4 Transportation) 
Includes: Food/Drink Security Of Vehicles.Trail Guide. Ranger & Trail Fee.

IMPORTANT: WITHFIELD HALL IS ACCESSIBLE BY 4X4 VEHICLES ONLY
ONLY PERSONS WITH SUCH VEHICLES OR ACCESS TO ONE CAN REACH
THE STARTING POINT OF HIKE. PLEASE CALL FOR CARPOOLING AVAILABILITY.

Instructions: 
1. Convoy up to Whitfield Hall Hostel Via Mavis Bank (Everyone must have access to 4x4 vehicle, limited carpooling available)

2. Commence hike to peak by 6 am, Estimated peak time arrival 10 am

3. Peak Stay time 2 hrs!(make sure to have food, snack, drink etc. for peak stay) 
4. Descend Peak by 12:30 pm, Estimated arrival time back to Whitfield Hall 4pm 

5. Eat Pre-Ordered Meals @ Whitfield Hall Hostel, change clothes, rest and relax.

6. Head back to Kingston by 5:30 pm, estimated arrival time to Papine 7pm

Remember: Dress comfortable in bright colors, wear 2 socks in shoes/sneakers with good traction. Bring change of clothes, insect repellent, raincoats, First Aid items, LOTS OF WATER TO KEEP HYDRATED. Take your cameras to capture all sights and scenes in the mountains

Make a Difference this May! Food for the Poor is organising a 5K Run/Walk, with proceeds going to providing food, shelter, and support for Jamaicans in need.

The race will start at 6 am on Saturday May 13 in Emancipation Park.

- To pray for the evangelistic campaigns (Lyssons/Morant Bay, Mountain View, Hagley Park and all others) and the evangelists; 
- To pray for all families who are hurting and mourning;
- To pray for the nation re the scourge of crime and violence plaguing the country;
- To pray for the government and the opposition;

The Jamaica Anti-Doping Commission will be hosting a Senior Athletes Seminar themed " Anti-Doping Rule Violations, Get the Facts" . The Jamaica Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (JABBFA) is encouraging all athletes who will be competing at the National Championships on August 25th -26th to make a special effort to attend this session.
